Subject #452: Male Patient
Procedure: Porcelain Veneers and Crowns
| When Chris visited
our office he was seriously interested in improving his smile.
When we evaluated his smile we discovered numerous problems that
needed to be addressed in order to achieve an outstanding
outcome. 1st, Chris's gum line was extremely uneven which made
his teeth appear short. 2nd, he had previous cap placed that was
dark with a black line around it and bonding that had
discolored. 3rd, Chris's teeth had worn off from grinding. As
with every smile makeover, it is extremely critical that the
final result give the appearance that the person was born with a
great smile and not someone who had artificial material placed
on their teeth. Once the gum line was recontoured with a laser,
the previous dental work was replaced with a combination of
porcelain caps and laminates with additional laminates to fill
in the smile. Chris was so elated with the final result that he
commented "I can't believe I waited so long to do this, this has
made a huge impact". Chris also mentioned that he would want to
place more laminates further back in his smile to fill in the
arch. |
