Subject #131: Female Patient
Procedure: This patient didnt like the gap between her front teeth.
When her smile was analyzed, if became clear that she could also regain a more youthful
appearance by restoring the excess wear that had left her front teeth flat and shortened
on the biting edges --a typical "baby boomer" smile. Meticulous planning and
design, using all porcelain Empress crowns resulted in an absolutely life-like,
translucency in her new smile that instantly set back the clock on her facial esthetics.
The biting edges of her new smile are crafted to preserve the light transmission of living
teeth, and even include some very deliberate and pleasing irregularities, while the color
of the porcelain is gently warmed as it approaches her gum-line. These details make all
the difference in creating undetectable results that say "beautiful smile"
instead of "artificial teeth" or "dentistry".
