About Dr. Barry Brace
One of the first dentists in the country to teach what has come to be known as "Instant Orthodontics" in his lectures on Porcelain Veneers, Dr. Brace has taught seminars and lectured to physicians, surgeons and dentists from all over the World on a wide range cosmetic, implant and restorative dentistry topics. In his lectures he has always placed particular emphasis on the human side of dentistry, reminding attendees that the teeth they treat are connected to people. Those people often have had years of painful, frightening dental experiences to overcome in order to have their new smile. A strong advocate of Anxiety-Free, Conscious Sedation Dentistry, Dr. Brace insists that even during the longest and most complicated procedures, patients can and should be relaxed and comfortable.

A natural teacher with a knack for being able to breakdown even the most complicated procedures into simple, easy to understand steps, Dr. Brace maintained a grueling travel schedule throughout the 1980’s consulting directly with hundreds of dentists and their staffs. Since the early 1990’s he has devoted his entire energy to patient care and now maintains private offices in two convenient St. Louis area locations, each with a team of highly committed professionals who always strive to provide a greater value than our patients expect.

For over 20 years Dr. Brace has a maintained an entirely mercury free practice, using no amalgam fillings. Going a step farther in order to protect the environment, Dr. Brace has equipped both offices with special devices to remove mercury from waste water. What mercury is removed in old fillings is trapped and safely recycled so that it cannot enter the ground water. Dental mercury is a major source of water pollution in this country.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Brace has a special interest in children’s charities and through a unique partnership with singer Garth Brooks, the Crown Council and the Smiles for Life Foundation, has helped to raise over $20,000,000 for seriously ill and needy children.
