Verifying a Dentist's License

After you have found one or more cosmetic dentists that you're comfortable with and confident in, it is a good idea to check on their license status. There are several ways to check the status of a dentist's license. Every state allows you to send for a status report using regular postal mail. Many states also provide license and disciplinary information over the phone. Some states have toll-free numbers, while others make you pay for the call, and some have web sites that permit you to do this on-line.
